Hi there, and welcome to my new blog, "Life is Funny"! I'm thrilled to have you here.
As an elementary schoolteacher by day and an aspiring stand-up comedian by night, I've discovered that life is full of humorous moments, and I want to share my journey with you. Through this blog, I'll be exploring the world of stand-up comedy, sharing my own shows and experiences, and diving into the careers of some of the most iconic comedians of our time.
In this space, you can expect:
Personal anecdotes: I'll share stories about my adventures in the world of standup, from open mics to (hopefully) bigger stages. As a teacher, I've got plenty of hilarious classroom tales to tell, too!
Standup special reviews: I'll be watching and reviewing both classic and contemporary standup specials, sharing my thoughts on what makes them great (or not-so-great).
Profiles of comedy legends: From Richard Pryor to Ellen DeGeneres, I'll be taking a closer look at the careers of some of the most influential comedians of the past few decades.
Insights into the craft: I'll share what I'm learning about the art and craft of standup comedy, including writing jokes, developing stage presence, and dealing with NYC hecklers.
Whether you're a comedy fan, an aspiring comedian, or just someone who appreciates a good laugh, I hope you'll find something to enjoy here. Subscribe to stay up-to-date on my latest posts, and feel free to leave comments and share your own thoughts and experiences.
Thanks for joining me on this journey. Let's discover together why life is funny! And keep your eyes peeled for more shows in NYC coming soon. 🎭
